Western Digital External Hard Disk Drive
Backup is one thing I never followed! I always left the most important things unprotected and open. Hence, I had to suffer!
During my recent visit to Bangalore, I had major issues with my laptop. My Sony Vaio Laptop for the first time in 2yrs started giving problems. The laptop used to often hang and never allowed me to work for more then 15-20 mins.
At the very first hang, I had a doubt in mind that my second 1GB Ram Chip has failed. But nevermind, since I had no screws to remove it, I lived with my moody laptop which kept crashing whenever it wanted too :D. But then I also thought it maybe a windows problem or a over heating problem.
As soon as I came back to mumbai the first thing I did was ran the memtest86 written by Chris Brady and I was right, My Memory Chip had failed.
Anyways, I got it replaced with a new 1GB DDR 667!
Coming to the point… The next thing on my mind was to backup and defragment my laptop so as get my applications loading and working faster.
